Pre-order alert: SHADOW HEART

Amazon US / Amazon International

Secrets are fine. Until they make everything go up in flames.

As if unearthing the truth about her heritage isn’t a damn struggle on its own, Crina finds herself walking a precarious path as the Shadow World continues to sink into turmoil.

If there’s one thing this particular demon hates, it’s godsdamned vulnerability.

Unfortunately, with Reiner still out to get her, her own powers spiraling out of control, and a face-to-face with all demon lords an inevitable part of her future, she’ll have no choice but to trust someone.

But placing her faith in others doesn’t come easy to someone like Crina. Especially when she learns that her mere existence is enough to send those closest to her to their doom.

Pre-order today to continue reading the suspenseful urban fantasy series with kickass assassins, sinfully hot demons, eye-candy vampires, and a steamy polyamorous romance you won’t want to miss!

My claws scraped against the fatigued concrete as I crouched in the deep shadows not even the moonlight could penetrate. The fume-laced scent of distant traffic entwined with the sharp night that had fallen over Munich swirled in my lungs, and the predator in me purred.
The hunt was what I lived for. And I could only be grateful circumstances made it possible to conduct it in an official capacity.
“I smell six inside.” Wilhelm’s polished voice sounded over the com-unit in my left ear. “Greta?”
I sampled the air’s multi-textured structure one more time, just to be absolutely certain. Thankfully, the direction of the late April breeze weaving through the industrial zone hadn’t shifted since we’d arrived, providing me with a faint but steady stream of information. My heart was a calm, persistent beat in the background.
“Three on the perimeter,” I confirmed.
“Sounds like a party.” Hektor’s rumbling chuckle filled my ear. “Want me to put in a call for backup?”
I snorted. If Hektor had it his way, the only acceptable answer would be a definite no. The threads of remorse in his voice when he’d grumbled the question made it clear enough. Unfortunately, even though I itched to fight just as badly as Hektor and Wilhelm did, we couldn’t throw caution to the wind. Although not something any of us hadn’t handled on our own before, nine weres wasn’t a negligible number when taking the wider picture into account.

HEAT OF THE NIGHT is a standalone paranormal romance that can be read independently, but if you want to follow the general Kolovrat timeline, I highly recommend picking it up after Transient Moon.

When a hunt becomes a nightmare

Lotte barely settled into her new life as an ICRA agent when an executive order sends her on a mission to Berlin—the latest location of a vamp serial killer no one seems to be able to catch.

As if the murders involving torn throats and ancient dark magic aren’t troublesome enough on their own, Lotte learns the person responsible is someone she knows. Someone she never believed could go dark.

The evidence laid before her is irrefutable.

Only it doesn’t make hunting a loved one any easier.

Can Lotte go through with her job? Or will her bias allow a killer to walk free?

Don’t miss out on the fourth title in the Lotte Freundenberger series!

New release: Shadow Moon

I honestly can’t begin to express how excited I am to share this story with you. Not only does it encompass my love for tennis, but Lotte is a character that has been with me for a while. Perhaps not in the exact form as she appears in the novel, but her essence has always been the same. I wrote about her inception in my latest newsletter, so I won’t get into it here, but if you want to, you can check out the story via this link.

Anyway, I’m so glad that I was able to send another bisexual werewolf protagonists out into the world, and I sincerely hope that you will enjoy reading Shadow Moon as much as I loved working on the story.

The second title, Darkening Moon, is already up for preorder and will be released in August. In the meantime, here are the buy links and blurb for the first in the Lotte Freundenberger series:

Werewolf. Coach. Lover. Spy.

After the War, Lotte gave up the turmoil of pack life to pursue a far more placid career in tennis. Or so she believed.

When a player is found dead at the compound with only days left until the Munich Games, the Interspecies Crimes and Relations Agency rolls in. Senior Agent Isa Vogt suspects foul play and enlists Lotte’s help to discover who stands behind the lethal performance-enhancing drug.

While separating friend from foe seems like an impossible task, Lotte has no choice but to return to her ruthless werewolf ways—or see another athlete die.

Will she win the hardest match of her life? Join Lotte’s team by picking up your copy of SHADOW MOON to find out.

New Release: The Ascension

NEW RELEASE.jpg

The last full-length instalment in the Black Werewolves series.

The day has come. Rise or fall, the path will end and the world will bear the scars. Are you ready for it?

I almost can’t believe this truly is it. The final chapter. The end of the line.

Rose’s pack was where it all began.

Being a published author. The first flickers of the world of Kolovrat that started out as the background of a single series, then expanded into an entire universe.

I’ll be forever grateful that Rose popped up in my mind that summer day (a year before I even began working on The Dark Ones), and I hope you enjoyed her journey as much as I have.

So I kindly invite you to pick up a copy of The Ascension and uncover that last, ultimate truth.

March Book Recommendations

I am so glad to have had all these exciting books lined up on my “March bookshelf”…

Scroll down to find out more.

Alexis Hall: Iron & Velvet

Iron&Velvet_500x750

Lesbian vampire. Lesbian P.I.  And a brilliant sense of humor. I don’t recall the last time I had this much fun reading a book! It actually made me laugh out loud several times, and then forced me to explain to my husband why I was giggling like a mad lady, tucked under the covers with my nose buried between the book’s pages.

Alexis Hall joins the clichés of the genre with a strong narrative, holding your complete, undivided attention from page one to the very end. If you’re looking for some hard-core urban fantasy, this may not be for you. However, if you’re open to some experimentation with the genre (and a few very well placed jabs at it at the same time), Alexis Hall just might be the perfect author.

C. S. Pacat: Prince’s Gambit, Kings Rising

516GB1U1muL._SX331_BO1,204,203,200_ 517ldPs7EPL._SX319_BO1,204,203,200_

The first book was promising, but the second and third have blown me away. Pacat’s world evolves, her characters grow, and in the midst of schemes and dishonor emerges one of the greatest love stories I have ever read!

I was never a big romance fan (although I do love reading romance incorporated into other genres), but these books, these books have left my heart bloodied and, in the end, completely, utterly melted.

There is only one way to truly express the ride that has been the Captive Prince trilogy: Feels. So many feels.

P.S. I shamelessly proclaim my intention to re-read all three books the first chance I get!

Karen Marie Moning: Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever, Dreamfever, Shadowfever

51a+F2GX2FL._SX323_BO1,204,203,200_ 51WhktxexWL._SX304_BO1,204,203,200_ 51aXa9moivL._SX304_BO1,204,203,200_ 51cyt-qyS4L._SX305_BO1,204,203,200_ 51Ui4jB-ccL._SX293_BO1,204,203,200_

I admit, I binge-read all five books. And they truly were binge-worthy.

Although I’m not too keen on novels ending with a cliffhanger (I’m a firm believer that each book in a series should have its own arc that ends with at least a partial resolution), I loved these ones enough to not give them a hard time about it.

Wonderful world building, a well-plotted story, and characters that you can’t help falling in love with (finally, somebody who shares my obsession for O.P.I. pink nail polishes!) are only a few general points that make the Fever series so appealing. But in truth, it’s the  clever remarks and exchanges, the subtle and not-so-subtle shifts in the atmosphere… It’s the little things that will make you huddle in bed and read until your eyelids become the evil hoods that force you to squint at the pages…

I took a break after the fifth book, but I already have #6 on my bedstand and ready!
