New release: Shadow Moon

I honestly can’t begin to express how excited I am to share this story with you. Not only does it encompass my love for tennis, but Lotte is a character that has been with me for a while. Perhaps not in the exact form as she appears in the novel, but her essence has always been the same. I wrote about her inception in my latest newsletter, so I won’t get into it here, but if you want to, you can check out the story via this link.

Anyway, I’m so glad that I was able to send another bisexual werewolf protagonists out into the world, and I sincerely hope that you will enjoy reading Shadow Moon as much as I loved working on the story.

The second title, Darkening Moon, is already up for preorder and will be released in August. In the meantime, here are the buy links and blurb for the first in the Lotte Freundenberger series:

Werewolf. Coach. Lover. Spy.

After the War, Lotte gave up the turmoil of pack life to pursue a far more placid career in tennis. Or so she believed.

When a player is found dead at the compound with only days left until the Munich Games, the Interspecies Crimes and Relations Agency rolls in. Senior Agent Isa Vogt suspects foul play and enlists Lotte’s help to discover who stands behind the lethal performance-enhancing drug.

While separating friend from foe seems like an impossible task, Lotte has no choice but to return to her ruthless werewolf ways—or see another athlete die.

Will she win the hardest match of her life? Join Lotte’s team by picking up your copy of SHADOW MOON to find out.

New Release: The Ascension

NEW RELEASE.jpg

The last full-length instalment in the Black Werewolves series.

The day has come. Rise or fall, the path will end and the world will bear the scars. Are you ready for it?

I almost can’t believe this truly is it. The final chapter. The end of the line.

Rose’s pack was where it all began.

Being a published author. The first flickers of the world of Kolovrat that started out as the background of a single series, then expanded into an entire universe.

I’ll be forever grateful that Rose popped up in my mind that summer day (a year before I even began working on The Dark Ones), and I hope you enjoyed her journey as much as I have.

So I kindly invite you to pick up a copy of The Ascension and uncover that last, ultimate truth.

March Book Recommendations

I am so glad to have had all these exciting books lined up on my “March bookshelf”…

Alexis Hall: Iron & Velvet

Iron&Velvet_500x750

Lesbian vampire. Lesbian P.I.  And a brilliant sense of humor. I don’t recall the last time I had this much fun reading a book! It actually made me laugh out loud several times, and then forced me to explain to my husband why I was giggling like a mad lady, tucked under the covers with my nose buried between the book’s pages.

Alexis Hall joins the clichés of the genre with a strong narrative, holding your complete, undivided attention from page one to the very end. If you’re looking for some hard-core urban fantasy, this may not be for you. However, if you’re open to some experimentation with the genre (and a few very well placed jabs at it at the same time), Alexis Hall just might be the perfect author.

C. S. Pacat: Prince’s Gambit, Kings Rising

The first book was promising, but the second and third have blown me away. Pacat’s world evolves, her characters grow, and in the midst of schemes and dishonor emerges one of the greatest love stories I have ever read!

I was never a big romance fan (although I do love reading romance incorporated into other genres), but these books, these books have left my heart bloodied and, in the end, completely, utterly melted.

There is only one way to truly express the ride that has been the Captive Prince trilogy: Feels. So many feels.

P.S. I shamelessly proclaim my intention to re-read all three books the first chance I get!

Karen Marie Moning: Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever, Dreamfever, Shadowfever

I admit, I binge-read all five books. And they truly were binge-worthy.

Although I’m not too keen on novels ending with a cliffhanger (I’m a firm believer that each book in a series should have its own arc that ends with at least a partial resolution), I loved these ones enough to not give them a hard time about it.

Wonderful world building, a well-plotted story, and characters that you can’t help falling in love with (finally, somebody who shares my obsession for O.P.I. pink nail polishes!) are only a few general points that make the Fever series so appealing. But in truth, it’s the  clever remarks and exchanges, the subtle and not-so-subtle shifts in the atmosphere… It’s the little things that will make you huddle in bed and read until your eyelids become the evil hoods that force you to squint at the pages…

I took a break after the fifth book, but I already have #6 on my bedstand and ready!
