Kolovrat Universe reading order

Although all of my series and standalones can be read independently, some of you have reached out, asking about the reading order to follow the actual timeline of the Kolovrat Universe.

The “Present” section refers to the time before the War, the “Future” takes place afterwards.

Chilly autumn air bit into my fingers as I huddled in the shadow-doused alley, scrolling through the numerous pockets of the dark web.

Maybe not the best way to spend my time given who Lena was meeting. The Interspecies Crimes and Relations Agency would throw my ass in a warded cell if they knew what I was up to. But thanks to Simon’s literal magic fingers, my activities were basically untraceable. Tapping in a quick command, I opened a different branch of correspondences, then sorted them from latest to oldest. All the shady dealings there for the taking.

Yeah, having a genius warlock on the retainer definitely gave a person a leg up in life—and a hole in their bank account. Though the latter was mostly my fault since I refused to let Simon undersell himself just because we were friends.

Not very demonic of me, true, but seeing as I wasn’t entirely a demon…

I huffed, my breath condensing in the frigid alley. Damn, September had laid it on thick with the end-of-summer stint. Something my rapidly draining cell phone battery confirmed. Lovely.

Secrets are fine. Until they make everything go up in flames.

As if unearthing the truth about her heritage isn’t a damn struggle on its own, Crina finds herself walking a precarious path as the Shadow World continues to sink into turmoil.

If there’s one thing this particular demon hates, it’s godsdamned vulnerability.

Unfortunately, with Reiner still out to get her, her own powers spiraling out of control, and a face-to-face with all demon lords an inevitable part of her future, she’ll have no choice but to trust someone.

But placing her faith in others doesn’t come easy to someone like Crina. Especially when she learns that her mere existence is enough to send those closest to her to their doom.

My fingers itched to wrap around the handle of my trusty blade. Much like every damn nerve inside me screamed to burst from my perch among the thick shadows and dart across the terrain; give the assholes one last surprise in their lives.

But desires and commands rarely aligned.

Thanks to the latter, all I could do was lurk on the ledge like a stalker and watch the fuckers syphon power from the vulnerable energy point.

Frustration twisted my face into something between a grimace and a sneer. All the previous times had been bad enough, but getting cockblocked—well, bladeblocked was probably the better term—now…

The dickheads encircling the valve weren’t even Raya’s demons, but individuals belonging to various courts, all of them believing they could have a nice, fat slice of cake at this illegal party they had going on.

Apparently, they truly could.

I wound my own shadows tighter around me—a self-imposed straitjacket to counter the anger simmering in my blood and threatening to spill over. Spending more time in the Shadow World after years of rapid drive-bys came with an unexpected side effect.

I’d grown protective of my native realm.

Though it seemed I wasn’t the only one who’d changed my tune.

A stray wisp of energy rubbed against me. The nine demons pounced on the leak, gobbling it up immediately. Team-fucking-work.

I suppressed a bitter snort.

Yeah, definitely not the only one who’d changed my damn tune.
